A storefront buildout for Cookies N’ Cream, a dessert shop — completed for their grand opening and named directly in the local press coverage. Precision Builders managed the project from kitchen equipment and health-code plumbing through the finished dining space, coordinating architects, subs, and inspections to open on schedule.
What We Built
- Commercial kitchen with stainless steel prep surfaces and equipment
- Three-bay commercial sink and tankless water heater, installed to health code
- Finished service counter and refrigerated display case
- Interior corridor with pressed tin ceiling, tile flooring, and handrails
- Custom mural feature wall in the dining area
- ADA-accessible interior ramp with handrails
- Exterior storefront with awning and illuminated signage
Built to Health Code, Finished for Opening Day
A food-service buildout has to satisfy health department inspection before it can satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth. The three-bay sink and tankless water heater, the stainless prep kitchen, and the ADA ramp were all built to code from the ground up — alongside the ceiling and finish work that makes the space feel like a finished storefront instead of a commercial kitchen.

The Finished Space

Why It Worked
Food-service buildouts carry a compliance layer most other commercial projects don’t — health department, plumbing, and ADA requirements all have to pass before opening day. As a registered supervisory general contractor (#NHC.0017593), I was personally accountable for that coordination on this project, one point of contact from the kitchen equipment install through the final inspection.
